![]() ![]() I've seen Discovery on Demo Crusaders and Diplomacy on Honorbound Warriors. Just like with buildings some AIs go with weird shit, e.g. Traditions - most AIs know the meta and start with Expansion or Prosperity or a mix of them. The non-mainstream AIs build weird shit instead, like Autochthon's Monuments, Commercial Centres or even Resource Silos. AI with three Alloy Foundries by 2205 is perfectly normal. ![]() Most AIs will also get a third Alloy Foundry. ![]() The answer ended up being extremely simple though, see below.Īll AIs build a second Alloy Foundry asap. Given the above, it's pretty strange that AI keeps up with me in terms of expansion. spend alloys for starbases and roll an early colony ship, but they catch up a bit later on (2205-2210). This is pretty different from how I play, because my early alloys go into science ships, starbases and fast colony ships. Non-advanced AI (further just AI) starts building corvettes once they have about 350 alloys stockpiled, but don't go below 150. Without further ado, things I learned by watching AI play on Captain difficulty:Īdvanced AI start with 10 corvettes and extra resources As a result I learned some interesting stuff, which I'd like to share. I was unsure what's the trick so I ran an AI-only game in observer mode. ![]() It was quite a shock, because I play on Captain and before 2.2 I never was THAT behind. One very glaring thing was that every civilization I meet was superior/overwhelming in fleet power. I decided to give it another try in 2.2.4 beta patch. I haven't played since 2.2 release because the game just seemed to turn sluggish and boring to me compared to before. ![]()
